In March 1986 a peremptory request was made by the locals of village Gangoo Pulwama for opening a school and IPS Gangoo came into existence which however was housed in a small rented house till June 2019 when the school was shifted to a Palatial school building constructed again with the support of the Aalimaan Charitable Trust who have whole heartedly helped in the construction of the school building for which the land was donated by the villagers .
