Akhter Ali Gazi completed his graduation from S.P College Srinagar. Thereafter he continued his studies at University of Kashmir and completed his Post Graduation in the department History, followed by diploma in personnel Management and Industrial relations.He joined the state services first in the excise and taxation department of the J&K state and later got appointed in the prestigious medical institution of Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Science Srinagar in its general administration department. Akhter Ali Gazi has served the said institution in several administrative capacities and retired as chief administrative officer of the institution in the year 2011 in his illustrious professional career. He has been social activist and has been involved in various socio- cultural causes since his college days and as such holds deep interest in the activities of the kind that impart human values. He is voluntarily involved with Educational Trust Kashmir since 1984 as a member of its executive functioning at different levels and has got elected as General Secretary of this great organization in 2009. He is involved in carrying forward the noble mission of the Trust in imparting education and eradication of the illiteracy among the economically challenged sections of the society, in accordance with job specification of this position as enshrined in the constitution of the Trust. In the latest general elections held in July,2018 he is elected again as General Secretary of the Educational Trust Kashmir and has been formally discharging the duties and the responsibilities assigned to this position in the organization with the best of his ability and potentialities.
